India’s home market could reach $260 billion by 2030, with rising Tier-2 spending and demand for sustainable, personalised interiors reshaping home design.
India’s home décor and interior design market is entering a new growth phase, with demand spreading beyond major metropolitan cities. A Deloitte India report released in September 2026 estimates that the country’s home and household market could reach US$260 billion by 2030. Tier-2 households spent an average of ₹3.9 lakh per home on interiors in 2025, nearly 74% of Tier-1 spending. Interior services alone are projected to grow from US$4 billion in 2025 to US$8 billion by 2030. Buyers are increasingly looking for functional layouts, sustainable materials, smart-home features and personalised décor.
