10 IITs Launch Online AI Certification Courses for Graduates and Working Professionals

Ten Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have launched online certification programmes in Artificial Intelligence (AI) aimed at graduates and working professionals seeking to upgrade their skills and enhance their career opportunities.

The programmes are designed to help learners develop knowledge in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI and Data Science. These fields are gaining importance across industries as organisations increasingly adopt AI-powered tools and automation.

Courses Focus on Emerging Technologies

The certification programmes cover various aspects of AI, including machine learning techniques, data analysis, generative AI applications and AI-based software development. Depending on the programme, students may also gain practical experience through assignments, projects and industry-oriented learning.

Flexible Learning Opportunities

The online format allows graduates and working professionals to pursue additional qualifications without necessarily leaving their jobs or relocating to attend classes. The courses may be suitable for fresh graduates looking to enter the technology sector as well as experienced professionals seeking career advancement.

Eligibility, Fees and Duration

Eligibility criteria, course duration, certification requirements and fees vary depending on the institution and programme. Applicants are advised to check the official websites of the respective IITs for details regarding admissions, application deadlines and course structure.

Boost to AI Skill Development

The growing adoption of artificial intelligence has increased demand for professionals with relevant technical skills. These certification programmes provide learners with an opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and prepare for emerging roles in technology and other AI-driven sectors.

However, obtaining a certificate alone does not guarantee employment. Practical skills, relevant qualifications and hands-on experience remain important for career development.

The initiative highlights the growing importance of online education in making advanced technology learning more accessible to students and working professionals across India.
