After BR Naidu's two-year term ended, the AP government appointed a three-member specified authority to manage TTD until a new board is formed.
The tenure of TTD Chairman BR Naidu and the governing board members ended on October 31, bringing a change in the administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. The Andhra Pradesh government has appointed a three-member Specified Authority to oversee the institution until a new trust board is constituted. TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravi Chandra will head the authority, with Finance Secretary Vinay Chand and Endowments Secretary K. Kanna Babu as members.

The appointment comes as the government has not yet constituted a new board. Reports say the ongoing local body election process and the Model Code of Conduct are among the factors affecting the timing. The authority will handle TTD's administrative responsibilities during the interim period.

The government order reportedly provides the authority with the powers and responsibilities required to carry out the functions of the TTD governing board. The arrangement is intended to ensure continuity in administration and the institution's day-to-day functioning while the process of forming a new board remains pending.
Attention is now on the government's next decision regarding the new trust board and its chairman. Until then, the three officials will oversee TTD administration, including matters requiring board-level decisions, in accordance with the government order.
