Bharat NCAP Safety Wall: 4 Newly Crash-Tested Indian Cars Score Full 5 Stars
Comprehensive crash test ratings breakdown with bodyshell integrity, ESC standard fitment, and side-pole impact evaluations for Thar Roxx, Curvv and Safari.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and the Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT) have released the latest wave of Bharat NCAP (B-NCAP) safety crash evaluation results, awarding maximum 5-star adult and child occupant protection ratings to four major indigenous vehicles.
Among the standout performers, the Mahindra Thar Roxx demonstrated remarkable bodyshell integrity during the 64 km/h frontal offset deformable barrier collision. The heavy-duty ladder-frame chassis absorbed kinetic dissipation cleanly without intrusive cabin intrusion. Standard electronic stability control (ESC), six airbags, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages scored high marks in child occupant protection.

Tata Motors continued its crash-test leadership, with both the Tata Curvv coupe-SUV and Tata Safari earning flawless 5-star ratings. Evaluators commended the standard fitment of front and rear seatbelt pre-tensioners, load limiters, and side-pole impact protection tested at 29 km/h against rigid vertical poles.
"Bharat NCAP has established an objective benchmark for Indian consumers who prioritize vehicular structural safety over superficial cosmetic embellishments," said automotive safety engineers. "With standard electronic stability control (ESC) and three-point seatbelts for all passenger seating positions now mandatory across leading models, Indian car manufacturing has firmly closed the global safety parity gap."
