Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 First Ride Review: The Sharpest Roadster out of Chennai?
Powered by the liquid-cooled Sherpa 450 engine, this agile street bike tackles tight city traffic and weekend ghat bends with effortless poise.
Royal Enfield has expanded its modern 450cc liquid-cooled lineup with the Guerrilla 450, a muscular roadster designed to challenge the Triumph Speed 400 and KTM 390 Duke.
Sharing the 452cc single-cylinder 'Sherpa' engine with the Himalayan 450, the Guerrilla produces 40 PS and 40 Nm of torque. However, Royal Enfield revised the final drive gearing and throttle mapping to deliver sharper low-end throttle response suited for tight urban filtering and quick traffic light sprints.

With 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in chunky Ceat steel-radial tires, a 1,440 mm wheelbase, and a low 780 mm seat height, the Guerrilla turns into corners eagerly and changes direction with impressive agility.
Braking is handled by 310 mm front and 270 mm rear discs with dual-channel ABS, providing reassuring stopping power. At ₹2.39 Lakh starting price, the Guerrilla 450 is a formidable street roadster with genuine touring capability.
