1. India's Yoga Calendar Gets Busy
Yoga is moving beyond daily practice sessions, with festivals, workshops, wellness gatherings and competitions bringing practitioners together across India. The November–December 2026 calendar features programmes for beginners, experienced practitioners, yoga teachers and people interested in meditation and holistic living. 2. Wellness Festivals Bring Multiple Experiences Together
Pune is scheduled to host Global Swasthyam from December 4 to 6 at Pandit Farms. The festival programme includes guided meditation, expert talks, cultural activities and wellness experiences. Mysuru Yoga Utsava is another major event listed for December 17–20 at the Jagannatha Center for Art and Culture. Its programme includes yoga and meditation sessions, philosophical discussions, workshops and cultural performances. These gatherings show how yoga events are increasingly combining physical practice with learning and cultural experiences.

3. Training Camps and Competitions Across India
Several specialised programmes are also scheduled. The Yoga Federation of India lists the 51st Senior National Yoga Sports Championship in Patna from December 17 to 20. Its calendar also lists yoga programmes in Andhra Pradesh, including sessions in Anakapalli on November 14–15 and Guntur on November 28–29. A further programme is listed for Kadapa on December 5–6, followed by Hyderabad on December 12–13. Participants should confirm registration, eligibility and venue details directly with organisers before travelling.
4. How to Choose the Right Yoga Event
People interested in joining an event should first check whether it is designed for beginners, regular practitioners, teachers or competitive participants. They should review the schedule, instructor credentials, registration charges, accommodation arrangements and any health or fitness requirements. Beginners can look for gentle yoga, breathing and meditation sessions rather than attempting advanced postures without guidance. Whether attending a large festival or a local camp, the best outcome comes from choosing a suitable programme and practising consistently after the event.
