Card deals, EMI savings and loan-fee concessions offer different ways to reduce festive spending
Festive Bank Offers 2026: Discounts on Shopping, Travel and Loans From Major Banks

Banks and financial institutions are extending festive promotions across online shopping, travel, electronics and selected loans. Offers reported on October 29 include instant card discounts, travel-package savings and concessions on home-loan processing fees, subject to eligibility.
Festive offers extend beyond shopping carts
Banks are using the festive season to attract customers with discounts on purchases, EMI transactions, travel bookings and selected lending products. An ETBFSI report published on October 29 lists promotions from lenders including SBI, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, Punjab National Bank and Federal Bank.
The offers differ by retailer, payment method and customer eligibility. Shoppers should check each bank's official terms before assuming a discount applies to their card or transaction.

Shopping and card-linked discounts
The report lists a 10% instant discount with SBI on eligible Amazon Great Indian Festival purchases. It also reports discounts of up to 10% through eligible Axis Bank and ICICI Bank offers on Flipkart and a 10% HDFC Bank discount on qualifying Myntra purchases.
These offers generally come with transaction thresholds, maximum discount limits, selected card requirements and promotional periods. Some may be restricted to EMI transactions or specific products.
Travel and loan-related benefits
The report also lists ICICI Bank promotions on selected MakeMyTrip holiday packages, with discounts of up to 35% and a maximum benefit of ₹35,000 under applicable terms.

On the lending side, Punjab National Bank's festive campaign is reported to include waivers of upfront, processing and documentation fees on eligible home and car loans, along with a 5-basis-point concession on home loans. Loan rates, eligibility and the total borrowing cost should be confirmed directly with the bank.
How customers can compare offers
Before using a card promotion, customers should confirm the minimum purchase value, maximum discount, offer expiry date and whether the discount can be combined with retailer deals. For loans, the interest rate, processing charges, insurance and other fees matter more than a single advertised concession.
Market Perspective
Festive bank promotions can lower the cost of planned purchases and borrowing. However, savings vary significantly by product and customer eligibility. A discount should not be a reason to spend beyond a budget or take a loan that is not otherwise needed.
