What Homebuyers Should Watch
Monthly registration figures can fluctuate because of transaction timing, changes in guidance values, financing conditions and seasonal demand. They should be considered alongside actual sales, new launches and unsold inventory.
Market perspective: Buyers should compare properties within the same locality and price category rather than treating citywide data as a direct prediction of individual property prices. Sellers should also distinguish asking prices from actual registered transaction values.
The next few monthly reports will help establish whether September's decline was temporary or part of a longer slowdown.
