Ranabaali: Why Is Vijay Deverakonda So Confident About His Upcoming Film?

Actor Vijay Deverakonda has raised expectations for his upcoming film Ranabaali with a confident statement at the film’s pre-release event. Saying that the movie would make the Telugu film industry proud, the actor has sparked fresh curiosity among fans ahead of its theatrical release.

Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, Ranabaali is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and is scheduled to release worldwide on October 16, 2026.

A Story Rooted in History

Unlike a conventional commercial entertainer, Ranabaali explores a historical setting inspired by the struggles and courage of heroes whose stories have not received widespread recognition. Set against the backdrop of Rayalaseema, the film aims to bring the region’s history, culture and forgotten tales of resistance to a wider audience.

Vijay has previously expressed confidence that the film will be a major highlight of his career. At the trailer launch, he also encouraged audiences to watch the film to understand more about their history and the struggles of their ancestors.

What Makes Vijay Believe in Ranabaali?

The actor’s confidence has become a talking point as the film approaches its release. The project brings Vijay back together with director Rahul Sankrityan, following their earlier collaboration on Taxiwaala.

The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with Rashmika Mandanna playing the female lead. The makers are positioning it as a large-scale cinematic experience that combines action, emotion and a historical narrative.

While Vijay’s remarks have strengthened expectations, the film’s actual reception will ultimately depend on how audiences respond to its story, performances and presentation on the big screen.

Ranabaali Set for October 16 Release

With the release date approaching, the pre-release event has added to the buzz surrounding the film. Vijay’s statement has left fans eager to see whether Ranabaali will live up to the confidence expressed by its lead actor.

The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres worldwide on October 16, coinciding with the Dasara festive season. Its box-office performance and audience response will become clearer after its release.
