OYO’s IPO Plan Takes a Major Turn: Why Has the Company Cut Its Fundraising Target?

October 23, 2026
OYO IPO

OYO parent Prism has reduced its proposed fresh share issue to ₹3,350 crore as it works to revive its delayed IPO plans.

Prism, the parent company of hotel-booking brand OYO, has significantly reduced the size of its proposed initial public offering as it seeks to revive its long-delayed stock-market listing. A filing reported on October 22, 2026, showed that the company plans to raise ₹33.5 billion through a fresh issue of shares, compared with the ₹66.5 billion fresh issue described in an earlier filing.

The revised plan highlights the challenges the company has faced in bringing its public offering to market. OYO first filed for an IPO in 2021, but the proposed listing was repeatedly delayed. The company later revived its plans through a confidential filing in 2023, before postponing the process again and turning to debt financing.

Reducing the fresh issue can change how much new capital a company raises through an IPO, although the final structure and valuation depend on the complete offer documents and market conditions. Investors are likely to examine Prism’s financial performance, business strategy and plans for sustainable growth before deciding how to value the offering.

The proposed listing remains part of a busy period for India’s IPO market, where companies across sectors are seeking public investment. Prism’s next steps will be closely watched as it works to move forward with its listing plans. The revised fundraising target reflects a significant change in its approach, but the final outcome will depend on regulatory filings and the response from investors.
