Lucky Baskhar — Brilliant Retro Financial Heist With Flawless Writing (Rating: 4.0/5)
Dulquer Salmaan and director Venky Atluri craft a sharp, satisfying 1990s banking thriller packed with wit, greed, and family sentiment.
JANATHA VERDICT: 4.0 / 5 Stars ★★★★☆
Lucky Baskhar is one of the smartest written Telugu films of recent times. Venky Atluri masterfully simplifies the complex mechanisms of the 1992 stock scam while keeping the focus firmly on a middle-class cashier's ambition. Dulquer Salmaan brings effortless charm and vulnerability, complemented by GV Prakash Kumar's groovy retro score.
