Bajaj Auto Q2 Profit Jumps 35.3% as Exports Rise 41%

Strong overseas demand and favourable currency movements helped lift earnings in July–September 2026.
Pune, October 27: Bajaj Auto reported a 35.3% year-on-year increase in second-quarter profit, supported by strong export demand and growth in the domestic two-wheeler market. The company’s profit for the July–September 2026 quarter reached ₹3,354 crore, exceeding analysts’ average estimate of ₹3,168 crore, according to Reuters.
Revenue from operations increased 34.1% year-on-year to ₹20,003 crore.

Overseas Markets Drive Growth
Bajaj Auto’s exports rose 41% year-on-year during the quarter, outpacing domestic sales growth. Higher export volumes, together with favourable currency movements, supported the company’s operating performance.
The results highlight the importance of overseas markets to the manufacturer, which sells motorcycles and other vehicles across a range of international markets.
Domestic Two-Wheeler Demand Remains Supportive
Demand in India’s two-wheeler market remained healthy during July–September. The report linked the broader industry’s performance partly to the continuing effects of lower taxes introduced in the previous year, even as manufacturers raised prices to offset higher costs.

Bajaj Auto’s performance suggests that a combination of domestic demand, international sales and pricing can materially affect quarterly earnings.
What It Means for the Industry
The results offer a positive signal for manufacturers with strong export networks, but exchange rates and demand conditions can change quickly. A strong quarter does not necessarily guarantee similar growth in subsequent periods.
Market Perspective
Bajaj Auto’s results underline the role of exports in diversifying revenue and reducing dependence on a single market. Investors should assess future volumes, margins, currency exposure and demand in major export destinations rather than extrapolating one quarter’s growth indefinitely.

For consumers, company profitability alone does not determine motorcycle prices or discounts. Purchase decisions should be based on the specific model, on-road price, fuel economy, service costs and warranty.
